When Obama speaks to the kids, are YOU going to listen?

 OH NO! The president is going to speak to our children and he's going to tell them:

1. They are responsible for their own educations -ONLY they can decide what to learn, can do their homework and get it in on time, act like decent human beings, graduate high school.

2. That only they can develop critical thinking skills and use them.

3. That they must take PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY for their own lives and what they will be in the future.

4. I wouldn't be surprised if he told them to stop thinking they were entitled to something in life; that everything they want in life they MUST earn themselves.

HOW HORRIBLE!! A generation of thinking, acting adults - rather than the generation of reacting non thinking adults that seem prevalent now.

How is teaching someone that critical thinking skills and teaching children to accept responsibility for themselves indoctrination? How is this socialism? How many people crying that this is socialism, communism, nazism even know what they are talking about? Very few it seems. I saw a woman on the news last night, crying because the president was going to teach her kids socialism.

Well dear gods, I certainly hope SOMEONE teachs them what it actually means - what a way to look stupid on the TV.

Think on this - how do you want your kids to be - people who can watch the news, read the papers and question what is said, search for the REAL truths in life, adults who accept responsibilty for everything they do, including debts, crimes, children they parent themselves?

OR

Do you want more people buying the party line (you wanna talk nazism, believing the party line was a good part of that) being sheeple, having a sense of entitlement just because they were born, and tossing the blame for every mistake they ever make off onto society, etc? OH wait, isn't that what we have a lot of RIGHT NOW?

I have a friend being sued by a nephew because she didn't make him a VP of the company after he'd worked there a month; he assumed it should be his because he was family, even though he has no clue how to do the job - sense of entitlement.

I read news stories about folks who are running up all kinds of debt for no good reason, then filing bankruptcy because it's society's fault. passing the blame - no personal responsibility.

I've had a black student tell me once that he could never be a teacher, because "the man" was keeping all black people down. WHAT??? So all the black teachers in the school - how did they get there? Buying into a party line.

You pull out terms like socialism and people think Stalin and Hitler because they never learned the difference between the ideal of socialism and the wharped communism Stalin had, and fascism that was had under Hitler. However, they will be sheeple because the media and politicans use terms like "death panels" and "socialism" and scare them, and they remain too lazy to even spend 5 minutes on the computer to learn something closer to the truth.

Founding fathers are twisting in their graves over this behavior of the "brave new world" we supposedly live in and how irresponsible, how gullible, how lazy their descendants have become. This is NOT the America they envisioned, where people were led by the noses by propagandic media.

Would they approve of Obama? Maybe, maybe not - but they certainly would approve of his message to your students.

Personally, this whole thing sickens me - did this hue and cry go out when Bush spoke from a Junior high, saying THE EXACT SAME THINGS that it appears Obama is going to say? NO? WHY NOT??? If what Obama is going to say is indoctrination, then it was indoctrination from Bush back in the 1990s.

I hope all of you watch his speech, because I will - and won't some feel the fool when he says the exact same thing to your kids that you've been saying to them all these years - that doing good in school helps you later in life.

What a horrible thing for the leader of our country to say to the kids - be responsible kids, be responsible adults.

Way some folks are acting you'd think the man was going to hypnotize them all and tell them all to offer themselves up to pedophiles. So far out of proportion this reaction is it's almost in outer space.

Note, I'm NOT promoting socialism, but education.  If you have NO clue what the term means, but use it because you heard some media pundit say it, then grab a clue and educate yourself so you can see through the propaganda. Or do yourself a favor and keep your mouth shut, so you don't end up on the news looking like you've never been educated at all.
